ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Penticton, BC-based artist Lynne Marand paints because it makes her heart sing. Lynne has pursued her interest in art since her teenage years, when she took every opportunity to draw. She raised her family and worked as an accountant throughout her career, but art remained her dream through it all.

Lynne's love of drawing was gradually overshadowed when she discovered painting and colour. With no formal training, she has taken private lessons and workshops to hone her skills. In 2020 Lynne became part of Levelling Up, a group for online mentoring  with professional artists; in the group she has been mentored by three different mentors and continues to evolve.

Lynne started showing her paintings publicly in group shows as part of various art groups then as part of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA).  She became an FCA Active Member and now has paintings hanging in collections in Canada, the US and England as well as Matheson Gallery in Penticton.
